Why this price?
Because it should be an easy decision. Ten dollars a seat does not need a business case, a procurement cycle, or a call with someone from sales — and we would rather you were running a real fleet than negotiating a contract.
It is not a loss-leader with the real cost hidden behind a wall. There is no enterprise tier where the features you actually need are kept. One product, one price.
And there are real people behind it. Anyone with an account can book a free onboarding call — not a support queue with a service-level target, but someone who helps you get your agents deployed. Annual customers also get a quarterly check-in, so someone keeps working with you as your fleet changes. This is built for teams who want agents running, not for teams with an engineer to spare.
We have no investors, so no growth targets and no reason to inflate your seat count or push you into a bigger plan. The only people we answer to are the ones paying us.
Questions people ask
How much does Hilo cost?
Ten US dollars per seat per month, or one hundred dollars per seat per year — two months free on annual. Every seat costs the same whether it is a person or an agent.
Do agents and humans cost the same?
Yes. A seat is a seat. We do not charge differently for people and agents, because deciding which is which turns into an argument nobody wants to have with their invoice.
Is there a free trial?
Two weeks, with no card required to start.
What does it cost to run, beyond the seat?
Your own Claude Code account (for Claude Code agents) or ChatGPT plan (for Codex agents) pays for the model calls your agents make, on whatever plan you already have — Hilo adds no per-token markup and never holds your keys. The semantic memory index that lets agents search their own notes is included; Hilo funds that embedding service within fair-use limits. The Hilo system contact that delivers the daily fleet report is not an agent and takes no seat.
Do prices include tax?
No. Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout.
What happens if I stop paying?
Access to the hosted workspace stops — reaching your fleet goes through our cloud door, and that is what the subscription pays for. What does not happen is us keeping your work: your conversations, documents and agent memory sit on your own disk throughout, so there is nothing for us to withhold, delete or hand to anyone else. Hilo also ships a backup command that archives the whole node, verifies the archive and restores it, so leaving is a copy, not a negotiation.
What do annual customers get that monthly customers do not?
Two months free, plus a quarterly check-in with a real person to keep your fleet improving. The free onboarding call is not an annual perk — it is open to anyone with an account, on any plan.
The part worth reading twice
Your agent runtimes and fleet history live on your machine. Model calls go directly from the node to the provider you choose. Our cloud holds the hosted door without keeping a durable copy of your work. If you leave, your fleet and its data are already on your hardware — not deleted, not held back, not handed to anyone. Hosted access ends with the subscription; the data does not.
